Statistical Programming Methods
Spring 2022 @ UIUC
Welcome to the Spring 2022 semester of STAT 385, Statistical Programming Methods, at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. STAT 385 is a undergraduate level statistical programming course that is appropriate for students pursuing an BS in Statistics as well as other students interested in data science. At the highest level, we hope to:
- Introduce students without a strong technical background to core concepts in computing and programming.
- Apply computing and programming concepts to data applications through the use of the
R
programming language.
Almost all course information can be found on this website. We will use three additional external sites:
- Ed - Discussion Forum
- PrairieLearn - Quizzes, Labs, and Exams
- Canvas - Labs and Final Grades
Additional information about these resources, including access information, can be found in the Syllabus! If this is your first time on this website, that should be the first thing you read. If you’re a student progressing through the course, you’ll find the information for each week in the links under the Schedule menu. The numbered links correspond to the weeks of the course.
We hope you enjoy the course!
